Emerson Family

Local Family

My wife Robyn and I have lived locally for more than 20 years. We met as students at the University of Queensland at St Lucia, our first home was in Auchenflower and our children went to schools in Toowong and Indooroopilly.

We enjoy our local bushlands and nature walks and regularly hike Mt Coot-tha. We’re committed to our local community and focussed on ensuring it remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Emerson Community

Working for Maiwar

I’m proud to have represented Brisbane’s inner west since 2009. But there’s always more to be done. It is important to me to serve our local community and build a better Queensland.

Together we can work to reduce crime, improve public transport, achieve a cleaner environment and build a stronger economy with jobs for the future.

Emerson Locals

Delivering Results

Working with locals I’ve already delivered in our community new school buildings with additional classrooms, flashing school lights, a mobile police community office, a cycle overpass and widened the Western Freeway.

As a champion of community groups and sporting clubs, I’m pleased to have assisted local organisations receive more than $10 million in State Government funding to improve their facilities and amenities for the enjoyment of members and the wider community.

Working Together

Recent changes to Queensland’s state electorate boundaries are complete and I would like to welcome you to the electorate of Maiwar which means Brisbane River. It consists of Fig Tree Pocket, Indooroopilly, St Lucia, Taringa, Toowong, Auchenflower, Mount Coot-tha and parts of Bardon.

My role is to represent the needs of our community in this great part of Queensland, and to continue to fight for our fair share.
