I’ve been lucky enough to live in Cairns for most of my life. My wife and I are raising our family here because we love being part of a city that’s built on friendships and family. I started my working life as an apprentice and qualified as an electrician.
My parents taught me the values of honesty, ethics, respect and to work hard. These life lessons have always served me well both in my family life and in business.
As someone who had to worry for years about making ends meet, I worked hard to study at night to learn more which has helped me to grow my businesses and employ more local people.
An Active Community Member
My wife and I are local small business owners. We know how tough it can be to juggle the demands of an active family and work. I believe in giving back to your community.
For years, I have served on boards of not-for-profit organisations like Skills 360, our school’s P&C, Cazalys and I was the President of the Cairns Chamber of Commerce.
I really enjoy working with community groups and getting results that benefit local people.
Listening to Locals
It’s clear to me that people are frustrated. They are frustrated by a stagnant local economy with its high unemployment, a rising crime rate and that our health and education services are not being funded properly and the State Government has no plan to fix it.
We need a real plan to get us through the tough times we’ve been facing in Cairns. People should have confidence that they will have good hospitals and schools and that the Government is getting tough on crime.
They’re the things our city needs - not another review or Brisbane-based panel of so-called job experts. It’s clear that Cairns is not a priority for the Palaszczuk Labor Government and I think we deserve better.
Team Work Delivers Results
As your Liberal National Party candidate for Cairns, I am committed to fighting for local jobs and more investment in our city.
A strong, growing economy is the best way to ensure that families in Cairns have quality health and education services and a safer community.
With your support at the upcoming state election, I will always fight for your interests and will do everything I can to build a better future for Cairns.
