Local Family

I have lived on the Sunshine Coast for more than 30 years together with my wife and two adult children. Recently I welcomed my first grandson and his arrival has reinforced to me the importance and joy of family which extends into the wider community to encompass the respect and wellbeing for all.

I am looking forward to taking my grandson to the football and teaching him how to fish in this place we call home.

An Active Community Member

I am dedicated to my electorate and passionate about achieving for Noosa. I am a proud member and supporter of more than 40 sporting and community groups. I attend the many events, functions and festivals for which Noosa is renowned.

The spirit of volunteerism is extraordinarily strong in our community and I am proud to be able to acknowledge and thank the Noosa community for it’s volunteers through my Queensland Day awards every June.

Delivering Results

Noosa has a great tradition of being unique. As a community we don’t copy others – we find our own way and have been successful. The greatest threat to this was Labor’s forced council amalgamations and my proudest moment was seeing the Noosa flag flying again at the Council Chambers and I was honoured to have played a role in bringing this about.

There will always be issues and differences but this wonderful community has shown that it can work and achieve much by doing so together. I want to carry on and play my part in the continuing success that is Noosa.

Working Together

I couldn’t be successful in my job without being a good listener and this means I learn of the issues and concerns of local residents. My surveys and community corners have informed me about what’s important to local residents.

The rising cost of living, having a safe community and being able to count on long-term, secure employment are what matters most. I hope people know that I listen and learn and will continue to work as hard as I possibly can on their behalf.
